Sat TV offer at Lidl

Thursday next week Lidl have a 57cm sat dish, LNB, and prepreogrammed receiver for free-to-air channels fo £59.99 with a three year warranty. It won't get Ch4, five, and Sky 3 but it will get everything else including radio - just right for the 'van. (If you want those channels then you will have to get a Sky box (second hand) and a viewing card - once of £20.)

All you will need in addition is a satfinder (which they are also doing for £3.99) and a mount for the dish - I use the tripod stand for a pair of work lights without the lights.

Not a bad offer.

Does anyone know if these are any good, I've seen many threads with these on with most people just saying they can't find a satellite or can't receive anything...I'm slightly tempted, but as more of a boys toy.

I met a guy in Royan on the west coast of France last year using a sat receiver from Lidl, his picture was great. I tried to get one when we got back but whenever they were on sale there was alwasys a rush to get hold of one. I eventually got a similar one from Macro which we used no problem in France this year.

B&Q are selling one with a bigger dish for about

Just been down to Lidl and these are in store already. The box is fairly bulky and quite heavy.

They have already sold out of the sat finders.
