satelite dishes

I am planning on taking my sky box with me when we have mains hook up. Which is the best dish to buy? We tour England Wales and the south of scotland. We might venture to france.

Hi Chris

Whilst in the UK I use one of the Towsure suitcase dishes, I think its about 40cm, never had a problem. I also have a Omnisat 66cm dish that I take into Europe. Furthest south I have been is Milan, achieved all channels with 90% signal strenth and 80% signal qaulity. You really do need to buy satellite compass & finder though, only need to spend about

When touring England and Wales, you can use virtually any standard satellite dish. If you are going across the Channel, a lot will depend on how far into France.

Sky uses the Astra 2D satellite and you can see from the following footprint what size of dish you will need:

A 90cm dish would be required to cover all of France.
Hi Lutz How do you get a link like that on this website ??

Write me an email and I'll give you the details how you can insert links in your replies.
