Satelite dome mounting

Hi everyone.
I was thinking about a satelite dome (maybe Camos) but really don't want to make any mounting holes in the van's roof, so got to thinking about alternatives...So my question is

Can a satelite dome be mounted to my fitted roof bars and rails by u-bolts or similar?

Any advice gladly received
Regards
Brum

Hi Brum, when I fitted my Sat dome I just glued the feet on using a silicone mastic (Sikaflex). This was the method recommended by the dome manufacturer (Camos), When you want to move the dish onto your next van you unbolt the feet which are under the dome cover and leave them glued to the van. Looking at the price of sat dishes I would think it not wise to bolt them on as they would be too easy to steal

Thanks for the advise.
I was of the impression that the assembly had to be screwed to the roof as well as Sikraflex.

Forgot to mention that Diamond Dave (Dave Newell leisure) sells and fits sat. domes so if your not a DIYer I'm sure he would be more than happy to accomodate you.
