I went to a Tv aerial shop/erecters and they had several different pole sizes available

It depends on how high you raise the pole and which way you look!!

Its not so easy with the inside the A frame JW mounts beloved by Alko

Its also possible when necessary due to trees etc in the way to knock a spike in the ground by the rear grab handles. tie the pole to the handles and erect the pole at the rear

I now have the Maxview Semitronic on the van roof and so view restriction

On the pic we were all outside enjoying the sunshine(2005ish)

As can be seen on the pic the dish is almost at right angles to the front window and gas locker and so the pole is needed to allow the lid to open

I only used it when the dish needed to point over the van or as in the pic otherwise I clamped the dish to the JW
