Scenic Porch Awning Plus

It was its first outing in the Brecon Beacons (Pencelli Castle 5*) last weekend. No problems putting it up... However plenty of rain over night caused leakage from the awning rail part of the awning (on the inside), which caused dampness and wet patches... Is this normal with a porch awning of this type, considering that if we had a full awning then the full length of the rails would be used and perhaps a better seal?

We are new to caravanning (only our 4th weekend outing)and we are still finding our feet...any advice reassurance would be greatfully received.

Migsy, awnings will sometimes leak first time out, due to the tiny holes in the stitching.

These should shrink now it's been wet and hopefully you'll have no more trouble

Like Roy said they are supposed to weather but some friends of ours had the same experience as you after using it once. They contacted Towsure who replaced it without trouble. They arranged for the faulty one to be collected too.
