Scone Palace, Perth

Just back from above after 4 nights and found it to be a lovely site. City of Perth about 3 miles down the road, plenty to do weather permitting. The site was very quiet but when i checked for Easter weekend it is full up. Glad i went earlier as i cant be bothered with sites that are too busy. Yes i know, its a age thing.

Nice area and the house is excellent. We try to avoid Easter, everywhere full and expensive and the weather is usually rotten.

When we lived on Dartmoor and the Lakes we did as you and avoided bank holidays and summer on the beaches. We could always swim in local rivers or lakes and find spots unknown to holiday tourists. Never took the caravans out on Bank Holidays apart from over New Year.
