Broomfield Park at Ullapool is one of our favourites. It is a very informal site onto which you drive, find a pitch which suits you then call in at the office when it opens around 3pm.
One time we were there we booked in for a week then another four days and then another four until we had been there for three weeks!
Magnificent views from the site to the Summer Isles and again from the pier up Loch Broom.
To reach the site from the south drive along the sea-front, go past the pier (and past a great fish and chip shop), past the ferry terminal offices and take the next right then, in a short distance, turn left into the site.
