My som caught the rear corner of our 10 year old Lunar van on a wall and it has left damage to the corner of the van. They are not very light scratches but not bad damage either. I don't to spend a fortune on an such an old van and wondered what to try to best hide them. I am considering Scratch Removal Complete Kit from Autoglym. any thoughts please.

Beyond scratch removal kit imo. Too deep into surface.

If you can’t rub down fill and spray yourself then try a mobile chip away type.
However they won’t be that cheap!

Or just leave it and let it be part of the 10 year patina?

Assuming it's ABS and not fibreglass:
Sand area with wet and dry to flatten it, then fill crevices with ABS paste made from Lego bricks and Acetone. Can be colour matched by adding brown/beige bricks to white. Sand again with a finer grade and keep going until you can't see it.

When my A frame fairing got damaged I used Plastaid ABS repair kit. It worked very well and for an even better colour match I got some touch up paint. Fiat 249 which was the same as Swifts original off white.

If it is ABS sand it down with 3M 600 grade wet and dry,it can be filled with cellulose putty,(it has the consistency of margarine) apply it sparingly and allow to dry before building up to have the repair higher than than the original level then sand it down carefully with the 600 grade then finish off with 1000 grade,if the wheel spats are the same colour they can be used to obtain a colour match for a bespoke rattled can ..(mixed from a motor vehicle paint/body shop outlet).All sanding should be carried out using a sanding block and use a container of nothing added water.also ensure the damage isn't proud of the panel surface

Lots of good advice from the members - I must try Gumpy's method of melting lego bricks .(will raid grandkids toy stash).I've done a few of these 'corner rash' and initally I use Colour match matt white ( or Hycote matt white spray) initially before I get a nice smooth finish and then use a board with different white paints to colour match and select the right shade of white to finish off,FIAT white 249 is often a good match. It takes time and patience to blend in the new paint with the old

Try scratch removal kit to reduce the look of it and then leave it as dustydog suggests

.......another vote for Fiat 249 white for the rattle can final coat of paint.
Almost certainly a good match.

Wouldn't bother myself!!!
The MH is still 100% usable, no leaks as a result of it so just accept it as one of those things that happens.

I did similar damage to my Lunar but over a smaller area. I used wet and dry 240 grit paper (used wet) then moved on to finer grits. Final polish with autoglym polish. Because the plastic is coloured below the surface it was an invisible repair. However 18 months later a colour difference could be seen.
