Screw Pegs

Just coming back to caravaning after a long break, I did not really enjoy the thought of having to hammer in tent pegs to hold the awning up. My wife saw an advert for screw pegs. I thought they are for me. A quick look around ebay found what I needed. £15 for 25 with an adapter to fit into my drill chuck. All I needed was my trusty battery drill.

Tried them out last week and what a saving in back bending and peg straightening they gave me. Also there was NO SWEARING.

The only thing I had to watch for was when unscrewing them, I had to take care so as not to damage the eyelet when the threads come back out. On the whole though I would give them full marks and will be cheaper in the long run because I am not buying new pegs every trip.

Now I just need an adapter for the corner steadies.

have i missed your sense of humour here regarding corner steadies being lowered with a drill and adaptor if not can you explain as i have been using this method for years. thanks.andy.
