Hi all,
I have just begun to re seal the shower tray and walls, and wish I'd never started and left well alone.. The sealant remover removed the old sealant fine and cleaned up off the tray fine (I tried the remover on small part first) but when it dried in places it has become a very hard sticky substance and has obviously reacted with the plastic and has gone rock hard in places...and it looks a complete mess...I'm well pi***d off as I was on a roll and resealed the two sky lights and toilet mushroom vent over the last few days in the good weather , then this!! was getting the shower ready for a trip to the New Forest at end of July where we will run self contained as no toilet block / showers etc.
So once again over to you, has anyone else been in this unfortunate position, I've tried white spirit and meths (on the removing of the stuff....not drinking it...although I feel like it now)
Any ideas, as to removing the stuff and if not where do I start to look for a replacement tray........if it aint broke...aint hindsight great!!!!
Cheers in advance,
Richard
