I have a 2007 Ace Supreme Globestar and some time ago the rubber seal which surrounds the circular stainless steel sink let into the worktop has been showing signs of seriously deteriorating. I suspect the fault for this is mainly down to me as I have the habit (when it is my turn to do the cooking) to balance hot dishes straight from the oven on the edge of the sink-and-the-remaining-worktop-area to check for the state of readiness, etc. etc. Enough of that. To remedy this, I have (1) established that this type of sink is now obsolete with Ace (and generally ?) and (2) that the sealing strip I require (after hours scanning web pages) is unobtainable. The good news is that today, incredibly, I chanced upon a caravan organisation that HAD ONE for the sum of £3,
Just guess who will be watching where he puts the dishes in the future, and if there is anyone else in a similar situation who would like to enjoy my euphoria, this organisation have ONE left and I will give their details to anyone ringing 07801559553.

Glad you found the spare you needed. Just in case others have the same problem, Google 'Sugru' which is a self-setting rubber compound from which you should be able to make a new gasket easily and cheaply.

This product is fairly new to the market and I have yet to try it personally, but I have bought a trial pack. The publicity videos make it all look very easy (but then they would)

Interested to hear of other users, as on the face of it, this looks to be a very useful product
