Does anyone know of a site in the Derbyshire area where we could site our van over the winter months, obviously we would prefer to have on site facilities but understand it is dependant on the weather.

You may be right Dusty, we live 8 miles from the site in the village of Bollington, Cheshire plains side at the foot of the pennines, sure we have seen tourers going in when we have been up their walking on Sundays. l will need to check with CC.

Dusty you are correct, it must be just for storage the vans we saw going in.

The problem is the Cat and Fiddle road is the first to get blocked with snow and also the Leek to Buxton road, that's probably why they don't open, shame really as in winter its magical.

Losehill is open and Chatsworth l would have thought that they were just has hard to get to in winter.

The CC list of Seasonal pitches for 2010 is not available just yet, should be very soon as booking in writing takes place wef 10.12.2009.

Grinlow has Seasonal pitches but only whilst the site is open.

Losehill and Chatsworth are open all year but I don't think they offer seasonals. Need to check that.

Cheers
