I know it's late in the Season but does anybody know of any seasonal pitches still available?

We are off to France for 3 weeks in July, and when we return we are thinking of either a Seaonal pitch for our tourer or buying a static, which ever one we choose they would both be in the West Wales area (Gower across to Pembroke and up to St. Davids or Newquay.

Thanks for your help.

Be very careful of the larger sites in the Tenby/Newquay areas if you are thinking of buying a static. We went to four sites in the area, all owned by the same national company, thinking of buying a static and were treated like royalty in the morning and had free lunch. After lunch came the hard sales patter.

They asked us personal details of our financial status and then disappeared into a back room with one way mirrors and after a few minutes returned and offered us "X" caravan on one of four pitches. Never at any time would they tell us the cost of the van or the pitch. As the van became older we would be moved further back from the amenities and new vans sited on our original pitch. The agreemant document is a few pages long and I asked if I could have a copy to take away to read before signing as it was too long to read and digest in the afternoon we were there. They point blank refused for me to have a copy to take off site to read. There was also no definate site life time prior to removal - they said if the caravan was not up to their standard we would be asked to take it off site - no definition of their required standard. If we wanted to sell the van we had to offer it back to them for first refusal and if we sold it privately the purchaser had to be vetted prior to them being allowed on the site.

All in all a total rip off - the reason we went to all four sites was to play them at their own game - free lunch (which was excellent) and when the hard sell commenced I asked for a copy of the agreement to take home to read - on refusal of this we walked out.
