Hi All. I,m new to this and I would like some good advice about what to purchase to secure my van. Ive just bought the van a month ago, its worth £2500 I dont have insurance, the van is up the drive with the wheels off....so....can someone recommend a insurer, wheel CLAMP (steel wheels), and a brand of steady locks, all of the above to be insurance approved.Or is it a matter of gettin an insurer first, then find out what brands they want me to fit ?I would appreciate any help. Thanks in Anticipation.

I use NFU direct and have found them cheapest,(old for new) I also have made a claim with them with no problems but I have seen that lots of people recommend either of the clubs, but there lots of insurers out there so its just compare everybody
 
Get your caravan details handy and then telephone the various Insurers, you can get a list in magazines or use the Clubs. Get a quotation and what is included, and excluded, and then make your choice. Remember that often there is a discount for the 1st year, to get you 'on board' but there is no commitiment to renew with the same Company.

Any security device is better than none, but none are likely to stop the van being stolen if that is the intention.
