I think you will find it's wanting the diesel fuel filter changing.

yes indeed it was the fuel filter that had to be changed, although i'm a little suspicious of the sensor because its very slow to go off even after having the filter changed today.

thaks to those that took the time to assist.

Kind regards

Hi Jo-anne

I am afraid so. Since July 2005 we tug around in a Kia Sorento 2.5 crdi xs. Lovely car , not disimiliar to your Santa Fe but a lot bigger. Dad in Law is on his 3rd Kia and we all swear by them. Don't like my dealer much so tend to use my mate who runs his own garage unless it is warranty work, which has been negligible. I think Hyundai own Kia ?

Hi Neil,

I have used a pair of Raydot mirrors for years with no problems, they have two screwclamps which slide in between the mirror and the outer casing,I have used these on several mondeo's a landcruiser and my last couple of sedonas.

i thought the hyundai tucson and kia sportage were based on each otherand the sorento and the santa fe were beased on each other. this year the new sorento comes out and ive heard its gonna be a 7 seater just like the santa fe.

the service from kia is crap thats why the sedona went they couldnt get there backsides into gear to sort it out so i went for another car. i would have had a sorento but the customer service side of it put me off.

i had to lugh have you got the new pc mag?.

in there they have a sedona on the tow fleet now. it has got to go into the garage because it has the same fault as mine did. its a common fault so why do they take so long in sorting it. im gonna phone pc fleet team on monday to tell them.

Hi Jo-anne

I'm not sure they are that similar but the new new Sorie may be.

Currently they are almost the same length the S Fe being 85mm longer and 5mm wider. The interesting thing is the S Fe weighs in at 1863kgs against the Sorie's 2065kgs.

Both lovely cars .

One of my friends has visited both Hyundai and Kia factories in S Korea. He said they are high tech state of the art. That's good enough for me.

Cheers

Alan
