hi all
I was driving clockwise on 25 jct 16 this lunchtime and going the other way was a silver 4x4 with van in tow and the front roof window was wide open i hope they got to where they were going with van still with all its bits.
my point being i`m only in my second year of vanning but just cant my head around not checking the basics before leaving even my five year old now knows to check windows and steadies and Luke who is two struggles a bit with MTPLM but he`s getting there.
then blow me going up the m40 a van looked liked it had nosedived into its tow car it was that low at the front.
I bet there not members on here?

Yes but I did have the jockey wheel set just right so as to take alot of the weight out of it as it hit the bumps

I always leave a caravan window open while towing especially if the wife and kids are travelling in there as it keeps them cool, its only fair as I have aircon in the car.
Some times she has to shut it a bit while cooking as she says it blows the gas hob out.

Its a bit slow but the fuel consumption is really good, I can get 2.6 miles to a gallon of water going down hill with the wind behind me.

I used to drive buses in North Wales, i'd flash & point at the roofs of loads of caravans with roof lights open,
90% of the time just got blank looks.....
