i am thinking of buying a Kia Serento to tow my twin axle abbey adventura but will the self leveling on the jeep put axles on the caravan under extra pressure?

Hi Barry, Provided the tow ball on teh car is at the recommended height for the caravan, then there should be no extra or undue strain on the caravan. If the tow ball is at any other height then the answer could be differnt, however when an outfit is in motion the height of the tow hitch is constantly changing anyway so it is not any easy yes or no answer.

Barry - self levelling must make for a better more stable outfit, as the car's rear suspension is simply "beefed" (normally by an automatic pneumatic pump) up to cope with any additional loads, thus allowing the van to be towed as level as possible - the ideal situation. This shoudn't put any additional strain on its suspension.
