Can one self build a caravan on a professional flat bed trailer?

I can understand police do not want anything held together with string on the roads, but I know people have built their own campervans from a basic vw van.

i can see nothing in the magazines about this.

Has anyone experience of self build please?

There's no law against home builds but they do have to meet the same Construction & Use regulations, in full, that commercially built caravans meet. The Caravan Club Magazine had an article, and photos, some time back of a member who'd designed and built his own caravan. It was on an Al-Ko chassis with similar construction to a Carlight.
