Selling 6 yr old caravan

Having advertised our caravan locally in newsagents and on the Go-caravanning site since early June, we have had no response whatsover so far. Looking for £7,500 ono v.g.c. Work committments and teenage children (not too interested in coming now) have forced us to consider sale so p/x no good. It seems rather sad that this beautiful caravan is sitting in our drive not being used much. Our 'problem' is that we ought to sell before the winter, as don't expect many people want to buy then, but where is the best place to advertise, apart from what we have done? Or should be re-advertise again in the spring - perhaps we put it up for sale a little too late? Is there a good time to sell? Maybe we just lose a lot of money and let a dealer take it. Any help appreciated.

you don`t say make and model, but at that price for a six year old, it looks as if you want the forecourt price with out giving all the guarantees and back up that a dealer has to give, drop your price and you will get some interest,or as you say sell to a dealer,

Thanks advice. Accept we can't give guarantees etc as a dealer might. We do have all the extras plus full Isabella awning, which must be worth a bit. Will drop price and see what happens.

Phil,

Selling your second hand caravan, have you tried your local dealer, we bought our present caravan from our local dealer who was selling the van on behalf of the sellar. We only got one months all in guarantee, but knowing the van had been serviced yearly by the dealer we had no problem.

What percentage the dealer took no idea.
