Hi William,

Had our Wyoming since the Spring, overall very happy with it.

Been a couple of problems but fixed very promptly by the dealer. The cd/radio player packed in the first day I got it home, new unit delivered within a couple of weeks. The built in microwave also packed in pretty quickly, again the dealer got a replacement. The dealer did tell me I was not the first to need a replacement microwave.

The full width end bathroom is good, but can't understand why it has a "normal" clear window at the back, whilst on site the blind needs to be closed all the time. An opaque window or no window at all and a mini roof Heiki might be better.

No problems encountered with the general build quality. It's our first twin axle and I was a bit wary about towing it but have found it very stable on the road. Inside it's very comfortable and spacious. Hope you enjoy yours.

William,

We've got a series 5 Wyoming, and had the same problem with the microwave. It was a digital display model originally, but stopped working after a short time. We were told it was a common problem, something to do with it being bumped about when on tow, apparently.

It was replaced straight away for a manual dial switch model, and we've had no problems since.

Overall, we love the 'van, i personally prefer the larger fridge and freezer in our series 5 compared with the 6.

Hope you enjoy your new 'van!!

Hi William

We've had our S6 seven months now. It's just so comfy. The trim edge of the basin plinth came away. Being replaced soon foc. The TV was rubbish. In the end Bailey sent me a different mounting bracket so the TV now tilts down towards the bed. No trouble with picture but in this mode you cannot swivel tv. No problem for us. She's a heavy beast and a motor mover is a must. You'll never swing her round like a single.

On the road she is impeccable.

We found the Al-ko jack useless so bought a 2tonne trolley jack. You'll need it to get both Al-ko locks fitted.

Personally I like the window in the loo. We were at a lovely site where the rear of the van also had a panoramic country view. No one could walk behindthe van. Just lovely watching the secenery and doing your thing!

Enjoy it.

Cheers

Alan

Hi William

We have series5 Wyoming and agree with Lara the fridge freezer was one of the things that sold us on the van, the L shape lounge works well sometimes other times it is a pain, the series 6 has the parallel front seats and front chest, but you lose the big fridge.

As others have said a mover is virtually essential, this is our 6th caravan to date, and we use it as a two berth most of the time,it has been our best yet.

Ken,

If you have increased your car tyre pressures to their load/towing pressures and the van tyres are not over inflated

(29 psi on the Series 5) and the van is otherwise loaded correctly, only your nose weight springs to mind.

We have been towing a Series 5 Wyoming from new and as previous comments, it is impeccable on the road and it has been close to 80 mph on rare occasions and remained stable.

Bailey advise a max nose weight of 100kg, which is well within the range of our car's max hitch, which is 140kg.

I can't imagine they would have reduced the nose weight on the S6 (check with Bailey first as this figure was not in our handbook) so if the Kia will allow, I would increase the nose weight nearer to the maximum and see if there is an improvement in handling.

If the van remains unstable I would have it checked by an approved workshop as it sounds as if something may be wrong with the chassis or suspension set up.

Good luck,

Ken.

Hi Ken

I have the same outfit as you. The Sorento tyres are kept at their standard 35psi whether towing or not. My noseweight is 90kgs so yours is almost the same. The Sorrie can go to 112kgs but I think the Wyoming's max is 100kgs. ( Not sure will have to check).

When you hitch up does the green ATC light illuminate on the draw bar? Do you hear the system self test?

Is the onboard water tank and toilet flush tank empty?

I assume the Sorie is in good mechanical order?

How hard is it to engage the Al-ko stabiliser on the hitch?

My S Wyoming tows like a dream so I just wonder if there is something lose on the caravan chassis itself.

No matter what I think you must return the Wyoming to your dealer and ask they join you on a road test to replicate the problems you are having. They can also try a different tow car.

Let us know what happens.

Good luck,

Cheers

Alan

hi william, i have the new wyoming and have just come back from 3 weeks at Hillhead cc site and a week at moreton in marsh cc site. i cannot fault this van at all.

from coventry to devon a46 and then m5 doing 57-60mph very stable and no problems on the back of our santa fe. i myself did 70 miles of towing at about 54mph its only the 2nd time i have towed this van and the 2nd time i have ever towed and i had no problems at all.

very pleased with this van so glad we rejected the first two faulty sterlings.

i cant recommend chipping sodbury for a great deal, service, handover and after service.

good luck
