Well, caravan, me and Echo are back in circulation now, so I'm wondering how I get to book up for the September Woosie Fest, I believe, at Stowford Meadows? Baroness Barmy and Princess Wotamess are looking forward to swelling the ranks of the bonkers and bizarre!

has very kindly offered us a Woosie Round Table special price of £20.00 per unit per night instead of their usual £25.00. We all get a super serviced 16 amp pitch with brown and grey waste disposal. King WC and Lady Squirrell will be working overtime to make good use of these facilities.
All you need to do asap is send Lee Partridge a £20.00 deposit advising the dates of your stay and that you are a Knight or Lady of the Woosie Round Table. Cheques I guess should be payable to ?????????? If you are unsure please ring Lee direct on

I believe most Woosies are staying for 4 nights - Thurs 25th to Sun 28th inclusive, departing Mon 29th. Some hardy soles, however, are staying longer, as in DD's case.

SPROCKET: Thanks very much for your comprehensive and very helpful reply. At £20.00 pn I'll probably limit myself to the four nights; even with the discount offered, that's still double what I'd normally pay for a pitch!

By the way, Mel, I'm also a tax-paying pensioner, so the likes of Gafferbill and me can afford to be smug, retired b#gg#rs! We're still contributing to the system! But believe it or not, I actually spent my winter fuel allowance on logs last year, not, as someone suggested I might be, (not on this forum, I hasten to add) on a crate of champagne!

I've arranged a room at the next door ale house 'foc' where will enjoy our Saturday evening food a day festivities.I've agreed with the Land lady we will buy all our drinks from. A very good deal all round.
We all muck and bring a few nibbles which we share like a Jacobs table

It will be a very special night as we will also be appointing our new Wood ie Monarch for 2014/ 2015.
