with regard to earlier postings regarding seviceing costs,it reminds me of a comment passed when my new van was being done by a mobile (manufacture recommended co.)

quote not verbatum,but went along the lines that he had just spent many thousands of £s on a purpose built vehicle that would be payed for by us caravan owners having to have servicing done for 6 yrs since the extended warranty was increased for water ingress.an average van worth over £1200 to him.

the 1st and last time i used him, i now get my own service done by a specialist co. abroad when on holiday at 40 euros whilst on site.

let others pay for his super duper machine!

And your not paying for the Specialist Co, abroards super duper machine, how? We the customer are always paying for whatever equipment a service engineer uses, it is called profit, or else they go out of business very quickly. Having said that, even at current exchage rates 40 euro sounds like a good price for a service. Hope he does a good job.
