Hi Guys & Girls, I may be a new comer to Caravanning, but do I do what I do best !? Ive really enjoyed reading your comical & varied conversations on this section of the forum & thought I would like to add something a little different, ( which is what I do for a living ). Even at a young age I have always wanted to have things that were different from everyone else & that's why I have been involved in the Custom world of Hot Rods , Harley Davidsons & anything that can be made different & painted with artwork or designs for over 22 years. "Confused ?",......... Let me explain. We have just bought our first caravan which we will be picking it up on 11th Aug. My wife has cough me looking at pictures of it with great interest & knows what is going through my head. = "How can I Customise our new caravan in a subtle but classy way ?" What do you recon ? Regards, Smokey.

.......well you have bought a caravan and that makes you different from most people.
Paint the standard white box on wheels with art work and you will definitely stand out from the crowd

Go for it and have fun. I've often fancied putting under-van blue neon lighting on ours but never got round to it. I do have a chrome Ferrrari badge and a small 'designed by pinnifarina' badge on the back of it at the moment, which amuses me and probably me alone. :)

Go on Smokey, describe, or post some designs of your vision for your van.

Hi Parksy, Thanks for sending me some pictures of some Customised Caravans. The sort of thing I would do is like the top right hand picture you sent, which I think is not too over the top, tasteful & very much a re saleable type of caravan. Anyway, as you was the first person who contacted me here on this forum, I would like you to be the first to know that I picked our caravan up today & "WOW", it felt great. It towed really well & it sat dead level from front to back, even with the back of the car loaded up, full tank of petrol + PLG gas in car. The self levelling suspension worked really well. I'm so so happy with it.

Warmest congratulations on picking up your caravan Smokey, I hope that you will enjoy many happy times away in it and don't forget to let us know how the first trip goes.
I've seen one or two nice custom paint jobs on tourers at Brean Sands in Somerset during the Country Music Festival
which is the sort of thing that I have a sneaky feeling that you might like.
While I'm no country music afficionado it's great to see Coast Road in Brean turned into a seaside version of the Wild West complete with Red Indians (or native Americans to be p.c.) cowboys and gals dressed in their western finery, covered wagons and of course caravans and motorhomes, some as big as coaches that you could live in, with custom paint, bufallo horns and Johnny Reb Confederate flags.
Don't forget the photos when you do yours
