Shaving cream shock!

I normally buy Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood shaving cream, In Jan 2022 I paid £8.46 for the tub. In Jan 2023 I paid £13.99. I went to order another tub today and the price is now £19.99! An increase of 100% in just over 2 years.

Much to OH's disgust, I think I will need to start growing a beard or look for a cheaper alternative! 🤣

Don’t you know that ‘Gillette is the best a man can get’.

Works for me. £1:50ish

John
It is not so much about the cost, it is more about the huge increase on Amazon in just over 2 years. Cheaper to buy direct from Taylor of Bond Street and that includes postage. A 150gm tub lasts me about a year. 👍😀

Same here. Last thing I want is to go around smelling like a shrub. 😂. I guess a beard would be the fall back option as you can take your snacks with you.

I have had a beard (very closely trimmed once a week) for over 40 years! I have an electric clipper that cost me around £15 many years ago!
It started out black, its now totally white (apart from the goatee which is dyed blue)

Became the wild man of Borneo for a few months during lockdown. How grey is grey😥😥.40 years ago our doctor said daily shaving is very bad for the skin. It takes the top layer of skin off at each shave. I agree so only shave twice a week or if we are going somewhere special.

An advantage of going silver is that "designer stubble" can be left much longer before it's visible - I hated daily shaving so reactionary now!

Is that wet shaving or using an electric razor?

I only save when I need too. Thought I was being lazy, seems I'm not the only one.
As for shaving cream, I use a brush and wipe up a lather using a normal bar of soap.
