Does anyone have any experience in shipping a caravan to the US? I would like to ship an Eriba Puck 120 to the West Coast of the USA. I have spoke to several international shippers but would be most greatful to speak to anyone who has done this.

The NW, Oregon and Washington are very green and beautiful.

While we were on a campsite in California with a rented motor home a few years ago we met a German who took his Frontera and caravan across the Atlantic with Seabridge. To ensure continued availability of gas, he had converted the gas system in the caravan to US standards and the Americans insisted that he fit safety chains between the towcar and caravan (apparently they don't trust breakaway cables). Unfortunately, I can't say much more but maybe its of some help.

ps: Seabridge-tours.de specialise in shipping mainly motor homes all over the world and even arrange rallies for groups of 10 to 20 vehicles to various destinations in all continents. If you are interested or would like further information, I could contact them.

Yes your right, I'm from the NW and it's beautiful there, you might check with some of the ports in Southampton, that is the port of entry for vehicals coming into the UK, they also have places there that make american cars up to meet UK standards. Or at a guess try one of the bases in the UK, Alconburyor Mindehall they might be able to help there. When I checked into bringing a car over,I was told it was around $2000, and then through southampton around

We just got a quote from a UK company to Halifax, their quote was €350 cheaper than Seabridge and from Southampton rather than mainland Europe. Here is their website IVSS UK
