Are you sure you mean 2.8TD?

I have a 3.2TD LWB Auto ('04); excellent towcar. Pull anything, bags of power, very stable and auto box very happy when towing too. Build quality/reliabilty excellent. Just a bit thirsty on fuel - but then anything of this size always is..?!

I tow with a 2.8 SWB GLS Diesel and I too am very happy with its performance. Literally dont know the van is on the back(its not a small van either ).Supreme tow car but I only average 20mpg when tugging.

I tow with a 96. 2.8 G.L.S. L.W.B shogun. Recommend it highly,loads of power comfort and never feel your towing anything too large due to the size of the car and height of seating position.Brother in law tows with a 98. shogun G.L.X. L.W.B..He tows a twin wheel caravan fully loaded. And he agrees with me best tow car he has owned.
