Chaps,

I need your help....

I have just bought my own caravan, a lovely 5 berth 1993 ABI Celebration 450 CT and after spending hours restoring it to its deserved beauty have finally deciced to take it on tour.

Hmmmmmm..... last time I went away in a caravan was in the late 70's to Llangranog (Cefn Hunt Caravan Site) and my old man drove, pitched ans sorted everything - now it's my turn to be dad. But where do I go? Points to note;

1, I don't want to go too far, max 75 miles (I live in Cheadle, Cheshire)

2, I have only towed my van up the motorway, so would prefer main roads rather than winding country roads.

3, I have never sited a van, so need helping hands on arrival - freindly sites will only do!

4, I have a 3yr old and 4mth old, - I NEED ENTERTAINMENT!

5, I have a wife.... need showers and .... beauty spa's etc (well I did tell her that all modern sites have spa's..LOL, how else could I convince her to buy one)

6, I need a bar ;-)

7, It has to be good VFM, now skint..

8, Things nearby to do would be good, oh, and free! Credit crunch and all that.

9, .......list goes on but I guess you get it.

I could do with a great recomendation from you guys, some of you must have been the virgin caravan man before....

Al ideas welcome,

Thanks

PS, North wales is a favourite place of mine.

Hi Mixy,

Why not join the Caravan Club, pick a site from the directory, with the facilities you require, and set off!

Once there, speak to the helpful wardens - or fellow caravanners and you should have all the help you need.

Good luck, and if you need any more information, this is the place to look.
