I frequently receive phone calls from electricians up and down the country who have decades of experience, asking me “How many amps”, “what size isolator” and “what size cable” they should use when I have supplied our mutual client with a specific power rating in KVA for a 3-phase industrial machinery installation. Their reasoning is usually along the lines of .... “We don’t do KVA, we work in amps us”.
