Shower Tray Problem

Hi all,can anyone help with my shower tray. I have recently returned to caravaning after a ten year gap (kids left home).I purchased (privately) a 1995 Abbey stafford county van and didnt check the tray (own fault) which has got some splits in it,I would like it replaced but with something a bit more heavy duty, does any one know if anyone makes a fibre glass version or will I have to put up with a flimsy manufactured replacement. Please help, Thanks

Hi Kevin,

I can't answer your question - it might be possible, but you might find small size differences or that the drain hole is in slightly the wrong place - or other minor annoyances.

But how good are your DIY skills?

Since you have a shower tray that is a perfect fit - it's a very easy job to make your own. First make a negative mould of the tray in GRP, then create as robust a shower tray as you like in more GRP (with moulded in reinforcements)

Hi Kevin, Give these folks a try, http://www.lycoseshop.co.uk/epages/luk.storefront/?ObjectPath=/shops/caravanpanels.com most if not all there products are GRP.

Hi guy's thanks Rob + Metz think you solved my problem between you, didnt want to make one myself although I have no problems of actually replacing one.The web address that Metz suggested was excellant, gave them a ring, very helpful and yes they have one on the shelf! at a reasonable cost.

Once again many thanks.

Kevin
