shower trays

Hi all, I have a 1988 Abbey stafford with a small split in the shower tray I've had no luck with lot's of breakers and am wondering if the tray can be repaired and if so will glassfibre react with the plastic tray or should an epoxy resin be used instead?

John, some time ago somebody on the forum said that the adhesive that they use in the manufacture of upvc double glazing does the job.

thanks ray, as it happens i am having a upvc conservatory fitted soon i will ask the fitters for some glue will let you know what happens

John

The stuff is what they use to plastic weld the windows while onsite. it will repair the crack and if you take care while using it no one will ever know it was cracked

Steve

Just to update on the repair a double glazing firm gave me some industrial grade super glue and an aerosol activator, blimey this stuff will stick any thing but always wear latex gloves and dont scratch an itch no matter how desperate you are!
