Just been reading about the NEC show's etc. We visit the GMex show every January. Has anyone else noticed that the accessories are reducing year on year. Not everyone is looking to buy a new van but lots of us are interested in accessories for our current van. What does anyone else think? Cheers Christine

I went to the Scottish exhibition in Glasgow this year and it was the same there. The only accessories at the show were by Towsure and even then you had to use their computers to order most things online. Doubt if I will be going back again.

Accessory outlets are finding increasing competion from internet and mail order outlets. Without a large mark-up margin, it's not economic for accessory outlets to attend shows, unless they're trying to promote unique products. Too many vistors to shows look at the products and then purchase cheaper elsewhere!

I concure with Roger L, I think the time of going to a show to pick up a bargain is receding. Most manufactures are now realising that shows are for "showng thier wares" I prefer to be able to feel a product before purchasing, and incresaingly with internet sales the oppertunity to see products in the flesh is diminished.

Hi Christine

The main reason why the size of shows are getting smaller is that the cost of floor space is quite expencive for small companys. so it boycoted

I can remember the early Caravan and outdoor shows at the nec they were packed, but sadley no more, I think in a few years it will close to become warehousing or an other millemium dome, the smaller shows around the country seem to be better attended cause they are cheaper.
