In last months van tests I noticed all the beds were made up by turning over the seating squabs. We have always slept on the upholstered side. How do others make them up and is there an advantage i reversing them.

Thanks M&M I guess the knee roll is less noticable and it gives the feel of being wider

Rod G,

I find the underside of the seating is firmer to sleep on - my wife prefers the softer upper surface. I prefer to sleep with my head to the front window - my wife likes her feet to the front window .

Yet at home we both sleep on the same side of the mattress - and facing the same direction !

Don't worry Rod, we too have always slept on the upholstered side. Never occurred to us to turn them over. Might give it a try this weekend to see if it makes the 'bed' any more comfortable.

If you both sleep on the same side, who speeps on the other (the dog ?)

Unless some people sleep underneath the matress to save using sheets or duvets, would be a bit uncomfortable though :)

Sorry couldn't help it :)

We've always turned ours over - you never know when you or one of the kids might spill something !! It's lots better to keep the upholstery clean!! Also easier to 'flatten' the knee rolls this way.
