Single parent caravanning

Hi all,
I am a keen caravanner who has recently found myself going through a divorce. I have two children age 8 and 6 who also love the caravan lifestyle.
When I go away, I always feel quite alone as most of the other people on the sites are with their husbands/families. The kids go and play and it can become quite a lonely existence! I have searched for months but I am struggling to find like minded people to holiday with.
Is there anyone else in the same situation as me who'd like to meet up for the odd weekend or week away, or anyone who maybe knows of any groups or meets where I'd be welcome?
I appreciate any information you can give!
Thanks Kara

Hi Kara
Very many moons ago I was a single parent with a 3 and 6 year old.
I studied the various sites available. No Internet then!
I headed for family orientated sites with decent playgrounds of site eating and paddling pools.
I was welcomed by many married couples with kids.
Once you take the plunge it gets easier.

Hi Karavan. Welcome to the forum. When my daughter was a single parent she went on a couple of holidays via Single with kids. They Have a website and Facebook page. At least one of these was a camping holiday. She didn't have a caravan but some did. Might be worth a look. Good luck

Hi Kara and a very warm welcome to the Practical Caravan forum. We wish you all the very best and hope you're able to find the people you need to help you get back into caravanning. Have you any friends and family who'd like to join you on tour?
