SITE BESIDE THE SEA

Does any one know where the site is that was used to advertise the Cornish feature in the forthcoming July issue in the June issue? There was a large picture of a site with vans right by the sea. This is very rare and unusual. Just got the July issue and couldnt wait to find where it was and it was no where to be seen! Any other sites right by the sea? There's one at Porth near Newquay. I find most sites by the sea are usually high on a cliff.

I recently bought the following guide called "Sea View Camping and Caravan Sites in Britain". Brian Leahy the author apparently researched the book by touring the UK in a motorhome.

It is rather idiosyncratic in style but it does list over 300 sites, many in Cornwall. Not all are next to the sea but a good many are and the detailed descriptions of each site says if they are. The book can be bought direct from Brian Leahy and is

Have a look at Mothers Ivys Bay near to Trevose Head a few miles south of Padstow, it has its own beach but it can be busy in high season and also Pentewan Sands between St.Austell and Mevagissey.Had a good time at Mother Ivey in 2003, have only seen Pentewan in passing.I'm sure there are quite a few more ,good hunting.
