Site in Forest of Dene Area

Whilst on holiday in france last week got talking to some people from Monmouth who said there is a site i think they said in the forest of dene area that is available to civil servants only. They did give the name but i didn't write it down and now can't remember it. Has anyone heard of this site.

Hi, we stayed here the week before last and were very impressed we booked again for next week, they do get very busy and we have to move pitches next week that's the only way they could fit us in. It is quite pricey at

Whitemead is a good site if you cycle bring the bikes as the cycle trail around the forest is just across the road with access for miles of lovely woodland. I know I live in the area. Theres also a couple of pubs in the village within 10 mins walk of the site. In fact there's the Steam Railway, a very good Caravan dealers (Forest of Dean Caravans)for friendly sales service and good accessory shop just up the road. Then you ask why do I travel when I've this on my doorstep?
 
Thanks for the replies, but is this site for the sole use of civil servants? The one the people in france was talking i think is.
 
I think this site is run by the Civil Service Motoring Association. I believe you had to be a civil servant to join once apon a time but that is no longer the case. I think the site is also open to non-members who pay a bit more for their pitch.
 
If it's for Civil Servants only it's more than likely us tax payers bought it for you .... heh! heh! heh!
