Site In South Gloucestershire

Can anyone recommend a caravan site in South Gloucestershire? Hubby works there and we want to stay for a week or 2 so he can still get to and from work, and I can have a break.

Must welcome dogs and 13 year olds!

Fishing on site/nearby would be an advantage too.

Many thanks

You could try the cotswolds carp farm Bourton-on-the-water its a quiet friendly site, it does accept dogs and kids, but the owner is not to keen on young familys as there are 9 deep lakes on site. You can fish 3 of the lakes and the fishing is very good the site is clean and reasonable price good luck.

Hi Jane to be honest the amenities block ie showers and toilets is quite old, but the owner Terry makes sure they are spotlessly clean, Visitors tend to go back year after year and some stay weeks at a time its a very friendly and relaxing place.

Hi Cheshire Cat, that site looks good and the fishing lakes excellent, however its a bit too far from his work which is nearer the Severn estuary.

Has anyone stayed at the Tudor site near Slimbridge?

Sarah

Yes, BOW is the same distance that he'd drive to work from home, so we are looking for something closer, in the Thornbury area maybe?

You could try Apple Tree on A38 south of Gloucester, further down A38 there is a riverside site next to The George at Cambridge, and further down again is one I think is called Tudor Rose near the Sharpness canal.

Thanks for the recommendations WoodsieBoy, will take a look at them. S
