Site near Bilbao ( Within Striking Distance )

Hi All

Looking at the ferry times from Bilbao ( 13.15 ) I need a night stop within say 100 miles. Leaving La Manga 29/02/08 ferry on the 3rd March. To far from the first stop at Nevajas to be certain of arriving on time. Any ideas you regular travelers ???

We are at La Manga all the time and there are loads of friendly folks who will advise you on camp sites for your journey home when you are down there.

Hope you enjoy your time at La Manga we love it there.

We have used Camping Playa Regatton at Larado which is a 30 minute drive from the port but it does not open until end of March. I had a quick scan of the local sites around Bilbao but could not find any open in early March.

However, many caravanners arrive the previous night and they camp on the dockside without any problems.....Mal

Campsite at Haro which is open all year. Good for buying your last minute Rioja with lots of bodegas in the area.

hi rod camping Navarrete near Logronois very good for a short stay just off the a68 j11 large pitches which we can use without unhitching, good showers etc a small basic resturant its about 90miles from Bilbao. open all year we have used it several times. we usually over night on the dock plenty of space and you will find plentyt of company there. also if yuo havn't got a copy of caravan club, caravan europe sites guide we find it invaluable have a good time in La Manga peter h
