We have stayed overnight on two occasions at Les Hautes Coutures which is only about 5 min. drive from the ferry terminal after crossing on the afternoon ferry. This site features in most of the guides I've seen including the Caravan Club's brochure. Site staff are on hand to assist late arrivals off the evening ferry. Found it to be very convenient.

There is a municipal site, not the best in the world, on the way from the ferry. Follow the signs for Caern and at the first round about turn left into the site. They have an area for Britany Ferries. I have used it for the last five years.

try ranville, site 10m from ferry in the cc (a5 size) directory. v clean and near Pegasus bridge and its Muesum ideal for filling a late afternoon. use the main road down to caen -side of the canal- for fuel at the hypermarket at eastern side of caen(leave the van at the site) and have a good meal at the flunch at the hypermarket while your there; flunch opens at 18:00.

turn right out of ferryport and about half a mile there is a large car park opposite the casino, we have stayed on overnight no problem as there was loads of vans on.
