There is a place much nearer and its free that is to pitch at the ferry port,we along with hundreds of others over the years have pitched in the lanes ready to board the next morning,they are happy for you to do it and the area is well lit and has loos if needed.Also no panic to get to the ferry in time because you are already there,get there just after 11pm and the last ferry out will have left.
