Site needed near Witham, Essex

Hello

I have to work for a week just outside Witham (Hatfield Peverel) at some point in May. I am looking for a campsite nearby. The only things I require are a WC and Elec. Hook up. My internet searching skills are really poor, especially for a computer programmer and I can't find anywhere close.

Mill House Caravan park is close but there are not toilet facilities on site.

Any ideas?

There are no good sites near here. The nearest CC site is at Colchester. Try CL's.or CS's. I know there is a CS behind the pub in Hatfield Peverel ( I think it's the Wheatsheaf) but don't know anything about it as I just drive past. Looking on the internet I can'e see much apart from that or the one you mention. The only thing I can say is that we stayed on a CL at Saltcote Hall in Heybridge when we moved house and that had electric, toilets and a shower, plus lovely countryside and near the river.

The Wheatsheaf looks like it would attract too many of the travelling fraternity. I don't fancy leaving my very expensive bicycle alone during the day, even locked in the van.

I'm a member of the CCC and their site 20 miles away *Kelvedon heath is, believe it or showing as full for mid may.

Maybe I will have to use the Mill House and use the caravan toilet.
