Our daughter wants to visit Bronte Country this summer so we're considering a week away in the area, anyone got any sites they can recommend? We use the caravan facilities so sites without shower blocks are fine but need electric hook-up (hair dryers/straighteners/curlers etc.........).

We belong to both clubs so CS/CL sites are okay.

If you want to go for bigger range, why not go somewhere like the C&CC site at Keighley or Boroughbridge, or the CMC site at Scotton near Knaresborough? You can get to Howarth in about 40 mins passing through Harrogate, Otley (or the original Hotton to Emmerdale watchers), Bingley where you will find Damart and Bingley Five-Rise locks on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Plenty of other places to visit: Ilkley, Masham (Black Sheep Brewery?), the castles at Middleham, Richmond, and Skipton, Wharfedale, Uredale and Swaledale. York*, and so the list goes on. The caution that I would add is that Howarth is very popular and consequently the site charges may be a tad high, whereas sites further away may be cheaper.
*York has a good and big P+R network, as does Leeds albeit smaller and not so well signposted.
Good luck.

Have a look here for fully serviced CLs that are in the area you wish to visit. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...9AKelD67m9-gZ6BHUNmDnVHOO8/edit#gid=429722140

Hi the CAMC site at Hebden Bridge is a lovely no facility site. A lovely 20 minute drive over the moors to Haworth whilst being close to the amenities of both Mythomroyd & Hebden Bridge

I`ve not stopped there as I live too close, but I`ve driven past Newsholme Manor Restaurant certificated site and it looked clean, spacious with a nice eating place on site. Hook up but not much more, but cracking views and walking distance to Oakworh village. Haworth is barely a couple of miles away.

Hebden Bridge is a nice site and with reduced facilities is cheaper than many. When we were there the wardens di say TV reception is poor on some pitches, so if this is vital do ask.

If you do go to the HB site make sure to have a look at the Arts Centre in HB and particularly the work of Kate Lycett exhibited there. The Centre is is about 100yds on the right after going over the river bridge west towards Todmorden - it is a big old house that stands a little back from the road and has wrought iron railings outside. Tip: there's a craft beer centre/shop immediately opposite!! ;)

There is a Tv booster system is in place but you will need a 10 metre cable extension but you can purchase in the shop on site .

Thanks for all the suggestions folks, in the end we opted for Wharfedale. Hebden Bridge looked favourite but with our daughter also coming away with us we decided to go for somewhere with a toilet block as well to ease some of the on-board bathroom congestion in the mornings.
