Can anyone suggest a good site to the south side of loch lomond at the alexandria end. There are going to be 2 tourers and possibly 3 tents, i don't want to pay alot so around £10-£15 topps per night for 2 nights 5-7th may.

You could try the Camping & Caravanning Club site at Luss....which obviously caters for tents and caravans.
 
sadly i did take a look at this one but you must be a member for this site, and i have just cancelled my membership last month as i did not use it.

I looked up Lomond Woods caravan park at Balloch but they have noted that they no longer accept tents.

Can't think of anything else near that area which would help you.Sorry.
 
Pity about the club membership because the C and CC site at Milorichy is wonderful. Opposite the one at Luss but no traffic noise and right by the forest. The Forestry commission also have a site on the east shore but apart from knowing its location, beautiful, haven't actually stayed there.
