Can anyone recommend any sites in or around London. I want a site suitable for children (4 & 10) and would like to be able to access the centre of London quite easily for site seeing, etc. Any information would gladly welcomed. Thanks

Simon. Not sure which part of the country that you are travelling from.

If you are in the Caravan Club you try Commons Wood at Welwym Garden city. Access is easy from the A1 and M25. There is a staion at Hatfield where you can get a train direct to London (approx 30 mins) and the site is open all year.

Alternatively Roydon Mill which is near Harlow is a nice siter and is not to far from the M11 , M25 and A10. There is also a station with trains direct to Liverpool St in London which is a journey of approx 40 mins.

Hi Simon, Try the Caravan Club's excellent Crystal Palace site - it's open to non members and all year too. We used to go there when our 3 kids were young and they loved Crystal Palace park with its concrete dinosaurs. Bus & tube stations nearby get you to the West End within 30 mins. Makes a cheap weekend in town!

Thanks to all who replied. Will certainly follow up on the recommendations. Some of them were sites that had been recommended by friends too. Good to know that good sites will always get mentioned and reassuring to get simillar opinions from various people. Thanks again, Simon
