Sites beside the lancaster canal

Could anyone recommend a site beside the Lancaster canal as we want to cycle along the towpaths. It mustn't be a huge holiday park, but it must have electrics and very clean facilities (I'm fussy).We are coming from the North East so would prefer one at the northern end of the canal. Thanks
 
You may want to try Detrongate Holiday Park, Bolton Le Sands, Carnforth Lancashire LA5 9TN. The park is situated with views across Morecambe Bay and across from the entrance of the park and a few metres up you can get access onto the canal towpaths. We live in this area and the park always seems to be popular when we are heading out into the lakes that way. If you are into cycling you can also head towards Morecambe and cycle on the promenade which stretches for approx 4 - 5 miles. Hope this helps. It gets good reviews on other sites.
 
bridgehouse marina in garstang is another superb site with club type facilities, its amenity block is very clean and the site well tended.

as the name suggests the site is allso a large marina on the lancaster canal and the towpath has easy access, go to the right and you head for the coast go to the left and you head for garstang village which is great for a night out with loads of small to large public houses to choose from and during the day its a nice little shopping area.
 
Many thanks for these suggestions and for the extra places we could also cycle. Looking forward to trying an area we've never been before
