Sites in Dordogne and SW France

We're planning a 3 week holiday next summer and were thinking of spending some time in the Dordogne region and some near the atlantic coast (Gironde/Biarritz area).

The last time we toured in france was before we had kids and could go outside august but alas we are now tied to the school holidays. I'm looking for recommendations for sites that are not too noisy in August but have a swimming pool. Not bothered about organised entertainment etc.

Any advice gratefully received.

You could do worse than this one. We went 2002 and it is very nice. Owners are very friendly and supply a free bottle of wine when you arrive. Well they did then proberbly bankrupt now.
