Sites In Lake District

Hi I was wondering whether anyone can recoment a good site for me, my wife and my 14 year old daughter and friend. The site needs plenty to do eg. Swimming pools, activites.

Take a look at www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk they have a couple of sites at Keswick. We've never stayed at them but have been to keswick about 5 times. i think the sites front onto the lake and i know that there is a public swimming pool plus lots of other attractions.

Hi.

The CC has a site at Troutbeck which has an activity centre next door (although you wouldn't know it) As previously mentioned there is a pool in Keswick , which is a ten minute drive. There is a good cycle track from the pool along an old railwayline which is good for cycling or walking.The site at Troutbeck is otherwise a bit isolated ie longish walk to the nearest pup and drive otherwise.The CC&C club is well sited at Keswick but is subject to flooding during heavy rain.(Which has been known in the Lakes!)
