Sites in the Cotswolds

We are looking to get away to the Bourton -on-the Water has anyone stayed in the area before that could suggest /recommend some sites. We are looking for EHU, hardstanding pitch or similar, showers and toilets dose not have to have club house or entertainment. Thank you in advance for any help.

Yes! I spent ten days at Bourton on the Water during August of 2020. Thoroughly enjoyed it. However, there's no toilet block on site so you need to be prepared to use your own facilities. The site is situated on a disused train station. See my blog HERE

PCv should pay you for your excellent blog.

I know it’s not at Bourton but you can’t beat Moreton in Marsh CAMHC site for it’s location although it was looking tired when we last visited in 2018.

We got the same impression when we visited in about 2020. It definitely needed a revamp especially at the prices they charge.

There was a refurbishment in 2021. If you look at CMHC website there’s a long section detailing the Clubs quite extensive refurbishment programme across many sites. That must be where your money is going😂

The approach road into the Cirencester site isn’t great but fortunately we managed to “run the gauntlet” with a twin axle without meeting anyone coming the other way.

Some years ago been to the Cirencester site it very clean with good facilities in a great location roughly ten minutes into town good variety of shops and pubs .

TV at Cirencester is not good, but fortunately they have a distribution system.

Past experience suggests the road on the bank behind the toilet block is one of the better drained parts of the site albeit some of the HS pitches are a bit narrow.
Waitrose about10-15mins walk, or 5 mins by car. Have nice eatery.
