sites in wales

We stayed here last year and loved it:

Bryn Gloch if the link doesn't work for any reason.

Tents and caravans mixed - kids play area, little stream for paddling, stunning views. We had a great time there. If it rains there is the most amazing soft play area in Carnarvon inside an old church - some of the slides are vertical! Hubby and older son went on but I was too scared when I got to the top and saw the drop! Also lots of other things for younger ones to go on.

Agree with both of these recommendations as we have stayed at both.

Coed Helen is really handy for walking into town and (if the weather is OK) they have an outdoor heated pool which was lovely in that hot weekm we had in late may/early June.

Try Bryn Cloch. Ask for Field 5 the views are breathtaking. Not much on the site but very clean and some pitches are huge. Only 10 miutes from Caernafon but the drive to Beddgelert in the other direction is stunning. Also the pub nearby does fantastic food. Good

Anywhere on the Llyn(Lleyn) peninsular, particularly Hirdre Farm, Tudweiliog. Only moderate facilities, but lovely people and stupendous views.

A few miles ouside Caernarfon, there`s a fabulous beach, Dinas Dinlle, and there`s a caravan park nearby, but don`t know it`s name, sorry. We spotted it whilst on a trip out to the airport there, to see the Aircraft museum.

If you want to go over the Britannia Bridge to Anglesey, the Capel Elen site at Lligwy Bay is very nice.
