Gordon, Ardmair Point just above Ullapool is a very nice site as is the one about 3 miles to the west of Gairloch, both have superb views out to sea. The CC site just below Fort William is nice, especially if you can get on a pitch by the Loch.

Hi Gordon, The Isle of Mull is such a beautiful place with white sandy beaches where dogs can run for miles !

We have friends who own a farm on Mull so go there with our dogs each year.

I do believe there is a site in Tobermory - but cannot comment on the suitability for yourselves.

Good luck - and hope you have a good time

We went to Ardmair last year it is stunning. Facilities are basic but good. The views are absolutly out of this world. You are pitched right on the edge of the water. At fort william, we stopped at "Glen Nevis" a good park but a little too big and busy for us. Armair is worth the treck to get to it, but fuel is costly up there (94p/litre unleaded at Ullapool), so fill up at Fort William before you set off.

Last August we went to the North Ledaig Caravan Club Site it is a members only site but is excellent, you are on the edge of a bay with shingle beach, the view accross the bay is of the isle of Mull and you are about 15 minutes from Oban where you can get the ferry to the island. There are several other caravan sites in the area, my brother stayed at a site in Connel which again was excellent. There is plenty to do swimming at oban, the seal rescue centre on the road to fort williams, sea fish, hill walk and of course the Isle of Mull. We will definitly be going again this year, spent a week there and still didn't see everything.
