We plan to visit Calais at the end of Sept. for a couple of nights for a bit of a shopping trip. Many sites seem to be closed by then. Anyone any recomendations for sites that may be open or tips about the shopping in Calais. Thanx Diane.
 
Diane - try Bien Assise or Chateau de gandspette. Both excellent but i am not sure when they shut. I think Bien Assise is a touch expensive but very convenient for shopping etc
 
stayed at Guinnes - castle camping - v flex arrive and depart if you ask, v clean. book direct with them; tele number via castle / camping web site. if on a late back ferry park up next to the police station at cite europe.
 
We stayed at camping escale near calais off the A16. About 20 minutes away from ferry port. Which is not far from the main hypermarket in calais, carrefour.
